LICA offers regular classes for Tamil language reading and writing. Tamil classes are open for students of all ages, 5 and above. LICA students participated in FETNA completitions and have won awards and appreciation.

LICA conducts annual competitions in Tamil Speech, Vocabulary & Writing Skills.

LICA Tamil School follows the American Tamil Academy (ATA) curriculum, a UPENN accredited course consisting of eight levels. ATA publishes course work that includes textbook and homework books. Trimester tests are conducted throughout the school year. At the end of the school year, ATA awards with course completion certificates are distributed to all students who have successfully passed the course.  Course completion is dependent on attendance, class participation, homework submission and the scores from trimester tests.
